Bob and I bought a home in preparation for full retirement and we're here now, doing the 1000 things that must be done before we make it our permanent home in a year or so. It's fun but a lot of work.

I want to take up raising orchids again but it's been a long time since I did that. Hope I remember which end of the plant goes into the pot!

Over the past years, Bob and I have enjoyed having lunch in interesting new restaurants and attending movie matinees. What usually happens is, after the movie, we get involved with a whole series of books so we know what's going on by the time the 2nd installment is released (laugh) so I guess we kill two hobbies with one stone or perhaps "ticket" is the more accurate word.

We'll do more traveling since Bob is invited to teach special courses in many interesting places and maybe combine some diving with each stop.

I have become more and more nostalgic as the 50th comes closer. I will be arriving early and staying later since I want to do some side trips around the area. I haven't been back in TOO long and I really miss ALL of you as well as my real home town, Ottawa, and the entire state, even with Kansas being as screwed up as it currently is.

Bob is unable to attend with me because he'll be in the middle of classes at Northwestern so I will get to use this time to become reacquainted with Ottawa. Tell me, what changes should I expect??? Gimme a hint or two!
