Michael Ott

Michael A. Ott, Sr., 75, of Pomona, passed away Monday, October 14, 2019. Memorial services were held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, October 25, 2019 at Dengel & Son Mortuary in Ottawa.  Mike was born October 11, 1944, in Beatrice, Nebraska, the son of John and Marjorie (Eastman) Ott.  He lived in Ottawa for many years moving to Yelm, Washington. In 2014, Mike moved to Pomona where he made his home until his death.
Mike was united in marriage to Delores M. (Hopkins) Edwards September 1963 in Auburn, Nebraska. They later divorced. Survivors include four children, Ray Ott and Kathy Molitor of Williamsburg, Michael Ott and Melinda Oakes also of Williamsburg, JennyLyn Jensen and husband Tony of Baldwin City, and Kay Piscopo and husband Mike; three brothers, Dan Ott and wife Barbara of Kingsville, Texas, John Ott and wife Carmela of Allentown, Pennsylvania, and David Ott and wife Dianne of Waxahachie, Texas; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Marjorie Ott; daughter, Lydia Teague; and great grandson, Dominnick Ott.  Mike was employed with USD 290 in the maintenance department; TT&T Towing as a tow truck operator; and The Ottawa Herald in delivery, retiring in 2017.  He enjoyed fishing, plastic canvas needlework, bowling, mowing and wildlife. Mike loved the time spent with his family and friends.
