Wesley Eugene Hollon, 63, of Marshall, died Saturday, July 10, 2010, at his home. Memorial graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville with military rites. Memorials to the American Diabetes Association in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Friends signed the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com.

Born April 3, 1947, in Ottawa, Kan., he was the son of the late Kenneth Earl Hollon and Patsy Miller Hollon. He was a 1965 graduate of Marshall High School and received his bachelor's degree in business economics from Missouri Valley College. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving from 1965 to 1971, receiving the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal and a Bronze Star Medal.

On April 6, 1967, he married Joyce A. Weber who survives of the home. He lived in the Marshall area most of his life and had worked for Marshall Police Department, Union Pacific Railroad and retired from AT&T in 2005. He was a member of Malta Bend American Legion Post 558. He was a Baptist.  Additional survivors include three sons, John Hollon of Marshall, Kenny Hollon of Slater and James Hollon of Sedalia; and 12 grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son in infancy.
