Alice J. Nilges, 63, Ottawa, died Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Lawrence.  She was born June 23, 1947, in Ottawa to Daniel and Peggy Louise (McMillen) Toumberlin. She was a lifelong resident of Ottawa. She graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 1965.  She was a materials planner and buyer for Ottawa Truck, now known as Cargo Tech, for 34 years, retiring earlier this year.  She was an active member of Sacred Heart Church of Ottawa.  She married Lynn W. Nilges July 12, 1984, in Branson, Mo. He survives of their home.  Other survivors include sons, Darrin Stoneking and his wife, Lisa, Eudora, Randy Stoneking and his wife, Jennifer, St. Paul, Todd Nilges and his wife, Deanne, Overland Park; a daughter, Lisa Hughes and her husband, Keith, Olathe; sisters, Carolyn Baker, Ottawa, Nancy Watts, Ottawa, and Gerry Minor and her husband, Barry, Gardner; 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by parents, Daniel and Peggy Louise (McMillen) Toumberlin; and a stepfather, Philip Edwin Rice.
