I had hunted for Tom for a few years. However his mother moved into Washburn Towers this last yr and is just a few doors down from me. She said Tom passed away two yrs ago and was living in S. Carolina.
Charlene Shepard is Tom's mom and Elmo was his father. I am sure if you would want to talk to her she would love to hear from any of you. She is one of the sweetest ladies you could know.
Charles Thomas Shepherd, age 62, of Kannapolis, died on Friday, March 27, 2009 at the Tucker Hospice House.
Mr. Shepherd was born on January 26, 1947 in Ottawa, Kansas to Charlene Bump Shepherd of Ottawa, Kansas and the late Elmo Lee Shepherd, Sr. He was a retired truck driver for Lisk Trucking Company of Wadesboro.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, Charlene Bump Shepherd, are his wife, Elizabeth Davis Shepherd; two daughters, Melissa Shepherd Smith of Oklahoma City, OK and Traci Jacobs and husband, Jake of Jewett, OH; one son, Randy Wayne Shepherd of St. Petersburg, FL; one brother, Elmo Lee Shepherd, Jr. of Lawrence, KS. Also surviving are ten grandchildren.
In keeping with Mr. Shepherd's request, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
The family requests that any memorial, in lieu of flowers, be donated to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
