Marolyn Elizabeth Foster, 65, Pomona, Kan., died Friday, July 27, 2012.

Funeral services are planned for 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012, at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Foster will lie in repose 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012, at Dengel & Son Mortuary, where family will meet with friends 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Pomona.

She was born Saturday, March 22, 1947, in Redfield, Kan. She was the daughter of Ivan and Louise (Horseman) Brittingham.

She has been a resident of Pomona since 1966 moving there from Ottawa.

Marolyn graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 1965.

Marolyn was a homemaker. She was employed for 40 years as a seamstress and instructor at H.D. Lee Company in Ottawa. She also was closely involved with product development at the company, retiring in 2005.

She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post No. 5901 Ladies Auxiliary of Ottawa.

On Saturday, Aug. 28, 1965, Marolyn was united in marriage with James R. Foster Sr., at Ottawa. He survives of their home.

Marolyn is survived by her husband, James R. Foster Sr., of the home in Pomona; three sons, James Foster Jr., and his wife, Jody, Republic, Mo., Patrick Foster and his wife, Jan, Topeka, and Gerald Foster and his wife, Michelle, Ottawa; four sisters, Ivana Higginbotham and her husband, Loren, La Cygne, Rebecca Roush and her husband, Duane, Greeley, Carolyn Schuster, Greeley, and Sharon Falk and her husband, Bruce, Stafford; three brothers, Troy Brittingham and his wife, Carol, Pomona, Max Brittingham and his wife, Sandy, Pomona, and Bill Brittingham, Claycomo, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Brandy Watts, Whitney Packwood, Shelby Foster, Tanner Foster, Tara Foster, Morgan Foster and Kylie Foster; and one great-great-granddaughter, Addison Packwood.

Marolyn is preceded in death by her parents, Ivan and Louise Brittingham, and a brother, Kenneth Brushwood.
